Service retiredMoFont no longer accepts font generation or training jobs. The free manuscript tool remains available in desktop browsers; guests can export up to 2 pages per day, and exported pages include a watermark.

Terms of Service

Terms governing your use of MoFont — what you can do with your generated fonts, what we can do with the service, and what nobody is allowed to do.

What MoFont is, what it isn't

MoFont is a tool that takes handwritten character samples you provide and trains a model to output an OTF/TTF font in your script. It is not a font marketplace, not a font cleanup service for scanned old manuscripts, and not a way to clone fonts you found online. You agree to use MoFont only with handwriting samples you produced yourself or that you have explicit written permission to model.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the legal age of consent in your country, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Business and team accounts can be opened by anyone authorized to bind that organization.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you spot unauthorized access, write to [email protected] right away.

What you can do with the fonts MoFont generates

PlanUseLimit
Free previewPersonal experimentation only20-character preview font, no redistribution
$9 lifetimePersonal use — diaries, letters, wedding stationery, personal blogs, giftsOne font per purchase; no resale of the font file
$29 commercialEverything in $9, plus: use in published books, products sold to customers, brand identity for paid client workOne font per purchase; cannot resell or redistribute the font file itself
$99 bespokeSame as $29, plus custom requirements (calligraphic styles, seal-script glyphs, extended character set)Negotiated per project

Whatever plan you bought, you keep the rights to use your font. We don't claim ownership of the look of your handwriting.

You may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the font file itself (the OTF/TTF). The license you bought is for using the font, not reselling it.
  • Embed the font in a product whose primary value is delivering the font (a font app, a wallpaper generator, an "AI font store").
  • Train another AI model on font files generated by MoFont.

What we ask of you

Don't upload handwriting that isn't yours unless you have written permission. Don't try to extract or scrape other users' samples or fonts. Don't probe the service for vulnerabilities except through responsible disclosure (write to [email protected]). Don't use MoFont to forge documents, create misleading signatures, or impersonate anyone.

Payments and refunds

All payments are processed by Stripe or Creem (selected per region). Prices and currency are shown at checkout. Full refund terms are described in our Refund Policy. In short: if your font comes out broken — missing characters, broken strokes, hinting issues we can't fix in two re-trains — you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

Service availability

We work to keep MoFont up, but training runs depend on infrastructure that can have outages. We do not guarantee specific uptime numbers in the free tier. For the $29 and $99 tiers, we commit to delivering your trained font within 7 days of upload; if we can't, we refund.

Disclaimers and liability

MoFont is provided as is. We do not promise the trained font will look exactly like your handwriting (model approximations vary by sample quality). We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll email you at the address on file and the change won't take effect for at least 14 days. Continuing to use MoFont after the effective date means you accept the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Hong Kong SAR unless mandatory local consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction says otherwise.
